With FeedX you can aggregate all news in a single place. The news might be a RSS feed or just any other supported website.
Example:
---
Monday
[] <hn> Proxyman – native HTTP/HTTPS requests observation and manipulation app
[] <hn> Stock Jump – a ski-jumping game with real stock data
[] <the guardian> Coronavirus news updates: Thousands queue up in Japan to see Olympic flame
[] <zdnet> To succeed in DevOps these days, go hybrid
Sunday
[] <zdnet> Ideas to help you stay fit and healthy while social distancing and self-isolating
[x] <hn> NPM Is Joining GitHub
[x] <hn> Netflix to cut streaming quality in Europe for 30 days

FeedX should help you to not get distracted by news.
The news feed works like the RSS feeds for Thunderbird. Every news is a single line that can be marked as done (archive in the context of Thunderbird). The goal is to move all news to the state “done” when there is time to. In the optimum case this would mean you have a no pending news at some days of the week.
Technically spoken RSS feeds are easy to add, but any other news site need a parser plugin. FeedX will only show a preview of a news, which might be something like:
Maybe it is a good idea to use feedbin. And each news site, that does not provide a RSS feed, requires a parser to provide a RSS feed somehow.
